What to expect from your newborn photo shoot
Congratulations on your baby!
So, you’re expecting a baby and looking for a Bristol Newborn Photographer? Well, here’s a few things you should know!
The best time for you to have your newborn photo shoot is before your baby has reached 21 days of age. This ensures the perfect amount of time for baby to be sleepy which creates a better chance of getting those sleepy, curly poses that we all love!
I understand that it’s difficult for new parents to get out of the house so soon after having their baby but your newborn photo shoot is the perfect opportunity for you sit back, relax and enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee while I work my magic.
Your newborn shoot will take approximately 3-4 hours in my cosy, aesthetic newborn photography studio in Fishponds, Bristol.
I have a large selection of props, wraps, headbands and colours for both little boys and little girls. There’s no need for you to bring anything with you but I’m more than happy to incorporate your own items into the images to make them more personal if you wish.

* A £30 booking fee will be due at the time of booking to secure your due date in my diary, this will then be deducted from your minimum spend
Photos are not included with the free photo shoot and will need to be purchased when you come back to view your images

Who is your photographer?
Hi, I’m Kim, the photographer behind Kamara Photography.
I’m a mum and newborn photographer based in Bristol, and I feel incredibly lucky to spend my days capturing the earliest moments of a baby’s life.
Becoming a parent myself made me realise just how quickly those tiny details change, which is why preserving them through photography means so much to me.
When I created my studio, I wanted it to feel less like a traditional studio and more like home. It’s a calm, cosy space where parents can relax, have a cup of tea, and feel completely comfortable while I gently guide each session.
Being trusted to capture such an important chapter in someone’s life is something I never take for granted, and it’s always a privilege to meet so many wonderful growing families.
The studio is fully equipped with everything needed for a successful newborn session, from professional lighting and a variety of props to carefully curated wraps, outfits, and backdrops.
It’s a calm, welcoming space designed with both comfort and creativity in mind, allowing you to focus entirely on relaxing whilst I capture beautiful, timeless images of your new baby.
